Dedicated Fleets

Owning your fleet: Is it worth it?

Operating efficiency usually takes second place in dedicated fleet reckoning because it is mostly absorbed as an overhead expense and therefore impossible to prove tangible value in terms of investment return.

Perceived as an ‘overhead’ expense, fleet expenditure is viewed as the primary target for cost reductions.

Failure to entrench a "value" mindset leaves scope for these perceptions and opinions to over-shadow justification for ‘own’ verses out-sourced transport options.
